Anthropologie is just blowing me away this spring! In the past my wardrobe has been split between Jcrew, Banana Republic and Anthropologie... I haven't been to Banana Republic in a while, but lately I find myself choosing Anthropologie over Jcrew. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Jcrew, but lately they just don't have anything that's really impressing me and Anthro continues to have piece after piece that I NEED to have! :)

I tried on the Air Mail skirt in my normal size zero and I was a bit thrown off because as some reviews on the website mention, it is like a pencil skirt with two side flowy panels... slightly confusing. I decided to size up to a 2 and the pencil skirt aspect wasn't as noticeable and the skirt looked more like all one piece. I LOVE the print and waistband detailing, and the skirt has so many colors it it I can imagine pairing it with tons of different tops.

sweetheart

I had a huge presentation for work on Monday and I always feel more confident when I wear a cute dress.

The presentation ended up going really well and I got a lot of great feedback! Thank you anthro for making me feel pretty :)

anthro fitting room pictures

Finally got some time away from work and what's the first thing I do? Head to anthropologie!! :)

I knew I would never buy the Blooming Brilliance Blouse at full price ($228), but something about it intrigued me and I decided to try it on. First off, the silk material is very thin and almost see-through... kinda unbelievable with such an outrageous price tag. That being said, the fit was great and the color is gorgeous. The ruffle on the shoulder is just a little too big for me though with nothing to balance it out on the other side....

I love the vintage feel of the Swinging Sweetheart Dress and it's unlike any other dress I own. I tried on a size zero and the fit was perfect. The dress hit right at my knees and I'm 5'7", so it might be a little long on shorter ladies. I didn't think I would be too impressed with this dress, but fell in love when I tried it on.

Why oh why do I love every single dress that Corey Lynn Calter makes?? This darling dress isn't online yet, but I stopped in my steps when I saw it at my local store. The print is so cute and the fit is just right. I didn't take a picture of the back, but it it a deep v with a little bow that you can tie... so adorable! I must have this dress! ♥

I really wanted to like the Peeking Needlework dress, but it just didn't work for me. I tried on the size zero, but I still felt like it was big and it made me feel bigger... The material is really pretty in real life and I think I would have really liked it if the fit would have been better... maybe it'll work on someone else!

Wow, the Monukka Dress might be the worst dress I have ever tried on at anthropologie... it is seriously like a garbage bag. It looked so cute online and I was really excited to try it on, but it is completely shapeless and the belt didn't go around my natural waist, but more around my hips... definite pass!

anthro fitting room pictures

I apologize to everyone for the delay on these reviews... it has been a crazy couple of days at work and I just haven't had much spare time. Now that I finally have a few spare minutes - on to the reviews! :)

I loved the Star Sprinkled Cardi when I first saw it online... the color and embellishment makes it a truly unique piece. My store didn't have an extra small, so I ended up trying on the small and to be completely honest, it was pretty boxy and the length was super short... just not the most flattering on my body. I really wanted to like this cardi and I did love the color and embellishments in real life, it was just the shape that really turned me off. For $188, I want an AMAZING cardigan that is perfect in every way and this just didn't do it.

I wasn't even planning on trying on anything an anthropologie (I was just there to browse during my lunch break), but when I saw this dress I knew I had to try it on! The print is so cute and the colors are gorgeous. I tried on a size zero and it fit perfectly. Definitely going back for this one! :)

I have been waiting and waiting for the Rising Vapor dress to show up at my local anthro stores and I finally I was in luck! I tried on the extra small and the fit was just right. The material is super comfy and at $98 the price isn't bad either. Some of the reviews online mention that the ruffles are not on the sides of the dress, but that didn't bother me one bit.

The Vanilla Bean Blouse is the perfect girly girl top... and I think that's why I love it! I took a size zero and I love that the length is long enough for my long torso. The top is so pretty and feminine... I can imagine dressing it up with a pencil skirt and cardi or just wearing it with jeans. Some reviews have mentioned that the sash doesn't stay well, but I just tied it pretty tight and it seemed to work for me... this definitely goes on the wishlist!

♥ It's definitely not spring time yet and not really spring weather this week in California, but I still can't help but wear poufy skirts, bright colors and bows! ♥
