anthro fitting room pictures

There were lots of new arrivals at my anthro this weekend!

I haven't seen this Girls From Savoy skirt on the website, but it is adorable! It is a blend of teal and a cream color and has cute little pockets in the front. I tried on a size 2, my normal skirt size, and it fit perfectly. The fabric is cotton. It hit slightly above my knees, so it may be a little short for work, but would be cute with some flat sandals for casual summer weekends.

My anthro had another Girls From Savoy skirt that isn't on the website and I loved this one even more than the previous one! The material is silk and the way it flowed away from my hips was so flattering... I definitely need this skirt!!

I was really excited to see the Diamond Dust Cardigan at my store and it lived up to my expectations. I tried on the pink and grey version in a xs and the fit was great. The little metallic threads throughout really make the sweater special! :)

I have been waiting forever for the dress to come to my store ever since I saw it online. I was really drawn to the colors and they are just as pretty in real life! I tried on the size zero and the fit was super flattering... LOVE this dress!

I wasn't necessarily excited about this dress when I saw it online, but it grabbed my attention when I saw it in the stores. The print is really cute and it fit like a dream. I can also see myself wearing the dress to work with a grey cardigan over it.

I had been admiring the Phosphorescent Dress ever since it appeared on the website. The dress is just as pretty in real life, but I tried on a size 0 and while it fit across the top it was pulling across the hips on the bottom. I could try on a size 2, but I think it will be too loose across the top... I really wanted to like this dress, but the fit was just off for me.

I was so excited to see the In A Twinkling Dress at my store! The dress is so pretty in real life and the cut is really flattering! I tried on the size zero and it fit just right. I love, love this dress, but I agree with the reviews on the anthro website stating that the metallic dots are really itchy... that being said, the cuteness of the dress overpowers the itchyness and I took this one home with me! ♥

The Majestic Cypress Toile Dress is so pretty! The bodice is really flattering, the skirt is just the right amount of poofy and the print is pretty and unique! I loved this dress and it would have come home with me if it wasn't for the high price tag... this will be mine once it hits sale though!

anthro fitting room pictures

I finally got around to trying on some dresses at anthro! Please excuse the boots I'm wearing in all the pics... It was rainy and overcast when I went shopping, but I couldn't resist trying on these dresses!

I love the colors on the Primula Dress and was immediately attracted to the sweetheart neckline. The dress fit like a glove and I like that the skirt of the dress has just the right amount of poof! :) Although this is a halter dress the neckline wasn't too low and I could see myself wearing this to work with a cardigan.

The stock picture of the Everywhere Dress does not look very appealing, but when I saw the picture of the dress on the model my interest in the dress peaked... I tried on an xs in the dress and the fabric is super soft and comfortable! I originally was just so-so on the dress, but it is growing on me more as I look at the pictures... It was really hard to evaluate the dress because I was wearing boots, but with a strappy pair of gold heels I think this dress has potential. The xs was even a little big on me, so I would recommend sizing down.

I fell in love with the Roped In Dress when I saw it in the new catalog. It is such a perfect dress for summer and has a light cotton fabric. I tried on a size zero and the dress fit great... the bodice was fitted and the skirt flowed away from my hips in the most flattering way! This dress is definitely on my wishlist!

anthro fitting room pictures

I'm so sorry I have been MIA lately! I finally got to some reviews and should have some outfits of the day posted soon :)

The Wind Tossed Blooms Blouse is everything I love... feminine, ruffles, flowy and florals all in one blouse. I tried on the zero and the fit was amazing.  This is a gorgeous top and I need it!

The Tecolote Tank is so pretty!! I have been admiring it ever since it popped up on the website and it finally appeared in my store. I tried on an xs and fell in love!

I almost didn't even post this picture because this top is just all kinds of bad... I thought it looked so cute on the website, but it is huge and just not flattering at all (I tried on the size zero).

I am swooning over the Mermaid Lore Cardigan! So cute and chic! ♥

I haven't seen this Girls from Savoy dress on the website yet, but I loved the cut, color and print of the dress. I tried on a size zero and while the dress fit on the top, there was some bunching around the hip area... I loved the dress so much that I'm hoping if I size up to a size 2 it won't bunch as much...

Some quick reviews on Anthro dresses...

Have you noticed that I mainly just try on dresses at anthropologie? I think I have a problem... :)

I was excited to see the Tonal Gingham Dress at my local store because it looked so cute online, but I really just wasn't blown away with it in person. It was cute, just not amazing... and the neckline was a little low for my liking.

Looooove the print on the Caballo Falls Dress - it is so pretty in real life! But... the dress is a little short and low for my liking... the print is so gorgeous though - I'm torn!

I loved the Rainforest Morning Shirtdress! Such a cute print and the fit was really flattering - definitely on my wishlist!

At first I really wasn't drawn to the Oroya Dress, but it is really cute in real life and fits so well!

The Castle Lake Dress is so adorable! Need this dress! ♥

And finally, my outfit of the day

I was so excited to see the Fiber Optics Dress at my store and I immediately grabbed the size zero to try on.  The color of the dress and the print are beautiful, but it was just a little too short for my liking especially if I was going to wear it to work. I liked the dress, but it didn't really blow me away... maybe I'd pick this one up on sale.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the Drifting By Dress at my local store and also in my size! This is such a gorgeous, feminine dress - I loved it even more after I tried it on!! You can also see the dress on these lovely ladies: Kim, Rosa and Tien

anthro fitting room pictures

Sorry I've been MIA this week, work has been crazy, but I managed to try a few things on at anthropologie.

Also, on a side note, I can't believe I have 88 followers!! I feel like just started this little blog and I'm so happy to have all you lovely readers :)

I was so excited to see the Bayan Dress at my store, but also a little apprehensive because the online reviews are pretty bad... The colors are just as pretty in real life as they are online and I love the accordion style fabric of the dress. Most of the reviews online mention that it is just a bunch of fabric and not flattering, but I actually liked the dress and thought that with the sash tied right under the bust it was super cute! I could also see how this could be way too long on shorter girls because I am 5'7" and it came right to my knees.

Love, love, love, love the Cooling Magma Dress!! Sorry for the crappy iphone pics, but the colors are gorgeous in real life! I sized up to a 2 knowing that this dress was slim fitting on the lower half and I have some hips and it fit perfectly! The pleating around the hips worried me a little, but because I sized up the pleats weren't an issue at all. I took this home with me ♥

what i'm currently loving from anthro

These items needs to show up at my local anthro immediately so that i can try them on!

Blue Bird Blouse

Fiber Optics Dress

Bayan Dress

air mail

Anthropologie is just blowing me away this spring! In the past my wardrobe has been split between Jcrew, Banana Republic and Anthropologie... I haven't been to Banana Republic in a while, but lately I find myself choosing Anthropologie over Jcrew. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Jcrew, but lately they just don't have anything that's really impressing me and Anthro continues to have piece after piece that I NEED to have! :)

I tried on the Air Mail skirt in my normal size zero and I was a bit thrown off because as some reviews on the website mention, it is like a pencil skirt with two side flowy panels... slightly confusing. I decided to size up to a 2 and the pencil skirt aspect wasn't as noticeable and the skirt looked more like all one piece. I LOVE the print and waistband detailing, and the skirt has so many colors it it I can imagine pairing it with tons of different tops.

I had a huge presentation for work on Monday and I always feel more confident when I wear a cute dress.

The presentation ended up going really well and I got a lot of great feedback! Thank you anthro for making me feel pretty :)

anthro fitting room pictures

Finally got some time away from work and what's the first thing I do? Head to anthropologie!! :)

I knew I would never buy the Blooming Brilliance Blouse at full price ($228), but something about it intrigued me and I decided to try it on. First off, the silk material is very thin and almost see-through... kinda unbelievable with such an outrageous price tag. That being said, the fit was great and the color is gorgeous. The ruffle on the shoulder is just a little too big for me though with nothing to balance it out on the other side....

I love the vintage feel of the Swinging Sweetheart Dress and it's unlike any other dress I own. I tried on a size zero and the fit was perfect. The dress hit right at my knees and I'm 5'7", so it might be a little long on shorter ladies. I didn't think I would be too impressed with this dress, but fell in love when I tried it on.

Why oh why do I love every single dress that Corey Lynn Calter makes?? This darling dress isn't online yet, but I stopped in my steps when I saw it at my local store. The print is so cute and the fit is just right. I didn't take a picture of the back, but it it a deep v with a little bow that you can tie... so adorable! I must have this dress! ♥

I really wanted to like the Peeking Needlework dress, but it just didn't work for me. I tried on the size zero, but I still felt like it was big and it made me feel bigger... The material is really pretty in real life and I think I would have really liked it if the fit would have been better... maybe it'll work on someone else!

Wow, the Monukka Dress might be the worst dress I have ever tried on at anthropologie... it is seriously like a garbage bag. It looked so cute online and I was really excited to try it on, but it is completely shapeless and the belt didn't go around my natural waist, but more around my hips... definite pass!

my shopping outfit :)
