FINALLY... some jcrew new arrivals!

After what felt like forever, some new stuff is finally coming to jcrew stores! They were just putting stuff on the racks tonight, so I may go back tomorrow and see if there are any additional cute items. After seeing the look-book for spring I wasn't too excited about any of the new arrivals, but I was glad to see that the stuff in stores wasn't really the stuff that was in the look book and there were actually some cute items!

  5. Thanks everyone for the comments! :) The dress was super cute and while jcrew dresses normally don't fit me that well, this one fit like a glove! I would definitely recommend it!

  6. My store did not have that dress! I've got to find it, do you remember how much it retailed for?

  7. Hi Vanessa,

I was wondering if you tried the dress on in the Santa Monica store? I tried to buy it today and S.M. said they didn't have it and the SA on the red phone said that it sold out in 24 hours!! Thanks for any help you can give me!

  8. Anonymous - I believe the dress was around $148

Leah - Hi! I actually tried on the dress at the Century City store in LA. I tried it on the night before the new arrivals were officially out, so they had all the sizes. You might also want to try the Jcrew store at the Grove in LA because they usually have a really good selection of sizes.

  9. Thank you Vanessa! Of course it's available online now!

I'm curious about sizing. Did you try on a size 0? The online description says that it has an a-line skirt but it looks like a pencil skirt - which do you think is more accurate? Lastly, how did the bottom of the dress fit as compared to the neopolitan skirt?

Thank you so much for your help!

  10. Leah - Yeah, I tried on the size 0. The skirt on the dress is definitely more pencil than a-line. The bottom of the dress had a little more room for my hips than the neopolitan skirt.

    Hope this helps! :)

  11. Thanks Vanessa! I was able to try on the Neopolitan skirt so I wanted to compare the fit.
